This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, weapons for Ukraine will be purchased with proceeds from frozen Russian assets through the European Peace Fund.

One billion euros of this amount will be used to purchase weapons under the ‘Danish model’ — directly from Ukrainian manufacturers.

‘Yes, we are not only strengthening our defence capabilities, but also stimulating the economy and innovation in our defence industry,’ Shmyhal said.

Another €600 million will be allocated for artillery and ammunition. More than €200 million will be allocated to strengthening Ukraine's air defence.
