According to Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, the EU's restrictive measures will mainly concern the russian military-industrial complex (MIC) and cooperation with it by third countries.

“Whether the EU will adopt it (the 15th package of sanctions - ed.) this year - I don't know much about the political currents in the EU, but maybe they will wait for Poland's presidency next year. This is my assessment, I may be wrong. And traditionally, at the end of February 2025, on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, there will be a large sanctions package, which they have already started working on. We have a lot of proposals, and there will be sectoral sanctions. I hope it will include russian liquefied natural gas,” Vlasiuk said.

The official also informed that the EU is also working together to address russian hybrid threats.

“We have proposed a list of top 100 targets and top 40 propagandists. It also seems that a package of individual sanctions will be prepared: we will see how its adoption will be politically implemented,” he said.
