Switzerland joins 17th package of EU sanctions against Russia

The Swiss government has expanded its sanctions list to include 17 individuals and 89 entities linked to Russia, against whom the EU imposed sanctions in its latest package.

Switzerland has also added 189 ships believed to belong to Russia's “shadow fleet” to its sanctions list and expanded the list of goods subject to sanctions.

The sanctions will take effect on June 3.
