Germany investigates 41 cases of illegal export of luxury cars to Russia

Germany is investigating 41 cases of illegal exports of luxury cars to Russia. In response, 14 prosecutors' offices confirmed that they have already opened or are currently conducting criminal proceedings.

Business Insider conducted a survey of prosecutors across Germany on compliance with EU sanctions, particularly in the area of luxury car exports to Russia. The results of the survey were published in an article (available by subscription).

In response, 14 prosecutors' offices confirmed that they had already opened or were currently conducting criminal proceedings related to suspected violations of sanctions through the export of luxury cars to Russia.

As of today, the total number of such criminal cases is 41.
