Switzerland – Attorney General’s Office provides details on two ongoing criminal sanctions cases

In its annual report, the Swiss Office of the Attorney General (OAG) reported on two ongoing cases involving violations of criminal sanctions. The first case relates to the freezing of CHF 1.3 billion (approximately EUR 1.39 billion) in assets in connection with suspected violations of sanctions imposed on a designated person. The operations involved searches at eight locations in the cantons of Lucerne, Zug and Nidwalden. The second case concerns the violation of sanctions by a Swiss company through its subsidiaries abroad, but fewer details were provided.
