Under the management of the State Property Fund, over UAH 1.4 billion from the seizure of assets of the Ocean Plaza shopping and entertainment centre has been transferred to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. The assets were seized as state revenue following a lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice due to the owners' ties to Russian businessmen subject to sanctions, including Arkady Rotenberg.
As of today, UAH 1.2 billion of the debt has been partially repaid and an additional UAH 200 million has been received. The funds are being used to rebuild homes, schools, hospitals and critical infrastructure. The privatisation of Ocean Plaza is currently being prepared, and the proceeds will also go towards the reconstruction of Ukraine.
