President of Finland supports US intention to strengthen sanctions against Russia

Finnish President Alexander Stubb has backed the package of sanctions against Russia proposed by US senators, believing that without maximum pressure, Moscow will continue to delay peace talks. Stubb expressed his support for the bipartisan package of sanctions proposed by Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, calling it ambitious.

The Finnish leader stressed that this package of sanctions, combined with a clear deadline for an unconditional ceasefire, would be an important step towards a just and lasting peace, stressing that without maximum pressure, Russia will continue its aggressive tactics.
