New Zealand has imposed new sanctions against Russian and Belarusian companies and citizens, and added four North Korean citizens and two Iranian citizens involved in supporting Russia's war in Ukraine to its sanctions list.

This was reported by the country's Foreign Ministry.

New sanctions have been imposed on eight individuals and ten legal entities.

These are companies and citizens linked to Russia's military-industrial complex, as well as representatives of North Korea, Iran, and Belarus who support Russia's military efforts.

“The sanctions are directed against entities related to the Russian military-industrial complex and supporters from North Korea, Iran, and Belarus,” said New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters.

Wellington also imposed restrictions on 27 ships of the Russian shadow fleet.

Among the Russian companies targeted by the sanctions are companies in the aviation industry, including the commercial operator of unmanned aerial systems Aeroscane and the developer and manufacturer of combat aircraft OKB im.
