The Mazovian National Tax Administration detained three individuals suspected of violating sanctions imposed by the European Union on imports of wood products from Belarus and Russia

The Mazovian UCS is conducting an investigation under the supervision of the district prosecutor's office in Warsaw into customs fraud and crimes related to violations of EU sanctions on imported birch plywood from Belarus and Russia.

Officers have established that one of the Polish companies imports Belarusian birch plywood through companies in Kazakhstan, thereby violating sanctions imposed on Belarus and Russia.
