Britain approved a new package of sanctions against russia

The United Kingdom has added 56 more entities and individuals associated with russia to its sanctions list, the largest package of sanctions against russia since may 2023.
The sanctions were imposed, among other things, against Zenith Finance, a company that supports the Espanyol football fan brigade fighting in Ukraine, electronic components manufacturer Elesar Group, and the Navis design bureau. In addition, Chinese companies have been subjected to British restrictions for cooperation with russian military production.
Sanctions have also been imposed on members of the Wagner PMC, its successor, the African Corps, and their commanders fighting in Africa.
Denis Sergeev was also subject to restrictions for his involvement in the Novichok poisoning in Salisbury in 2018. According to the British authorities, Sergeev provided support in the preparation and use of chemical weapons, and played a coordinating role in London the weekend after the attack.
The assets of the sanctioned individuals and organizations are frozen, cooperation with them is prohibited, and individuals are also banned from entering the UK.
