British cars get to russia bypassing sanctions through post-Soviet countries

It seems that British automakers continued to sell luxury cars to russia even after the invasion of Ukraine and the imposition of sanctions, exporting cars indirectly through the countries of the former Soviet Union.
While direct British car exports to russia fell to zero after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, this collapse was followed by a corresponding increase in car exports to russia's neighbors, especially Azerbaijan.
The UK exported £273 million worth of vehicles to Azerbaijan last year, an increase of 1860% over the five-year period preceding russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Not only is the increase in exports to Azerbaijan unprecedented, but it is the same as the annual car exports to russia in the two years before sanctions were imposed, which averaged 330 million pounds.
During the same period that the UK recorded an unprecedented increase in car exports to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan recorded an unprecedented increase in car exports to russia.
