The Czech government has frozen russian state assets on its territory. This was announced by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky.
"On my proposal, the government today approved the freezing of russian state assets in the Czech Republic. This is the end of the commercial activity that russia uses to finance the murder of Ukrainians."
At the press conference, the Minister explained that the freezing of russian assets was due to the inclusion in the Czech Republic's sanctions list of the last "Asset Management Company Abroad" in the country, which belongs to the russian presidential administration.
According to him, the sanctions mainly affected real estate in Prague and Karlovy Vary. These properties will be blocked so that they cannot be sold. People who rent these buildings from russians can continue to stay there, but now they have to pay the rent to a special account that is under sanctions restrictions and is not accessible to russians.
