EU extends sanctions against russia for another six months

The EU Council has extended restrictive measures against persons responsible for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine until March 15, 2025.

 

The sanctions will continue to apply to more than 2,200 individuals and organizations.

 

The current sanctions include travel restrictions on individuals, asset freezes and a ban on the provision of funds or other economic resources to these individuals and organizations.

 

In the context of the sanctions review, the EU Council also decided not to extend the restrictive measures against two individuals and to remove five deceased persons from the list.
