India has increased oil purchases from russia despite US tariffs

According to the publication, Indian state-owned refineries purchased a batch of russian oil this week. This oil will be shipped in September and October. India received a discount on oil from russia — $2.5 per barrel. As of 19 August, Urals oil, which is produced by russia, costs $62 per barrel on the oil market.

 

The administration of US President Trump threatened India with raising tariffs on imports of goods and raw materials from the country to 50% on 27 August if India does not stop buying russian oil.
