Investigation into wholesale trade on suspicion of violating sanctions law

On 1 July, four men were arrested: two drivers and two managers. The FIOD conducted searches at a business premises and four homes. Physical and digital records and data carriers were seized. In addition, the homes of suspects and approximately 65,000 euros in cash were seized.

The suspects are suspected of being involved in the illegal supply or support of ships that are part of the so-called Russian shadow fleet.

The investigation is being led by the Public Prosecution Service.
