Italy allows repair of “putin's yacht” despite seizure of property

The yacht “Scheherazade”, which was arrested in Italy, is refitted at the expense of its owner. According to a number of russian and foreign media, the actual owner of the yacht is russian president Putin. Its formal owner is the former head of “Rosneft”, Eduard Khudainatov, who is under EU sanctions since June 2022.

Interestingly, in the official list of russian assets seized in Italy, the “Shaherezada” is the only one whose owner is not listed. The vessel is simply described as: "the superyacht Scheherazade, flying the flag of the Cayman Islands, worth about 650 million euros.
