The Japanese government is considering imposing sanctions against those Chinese organizations suspected of supplying military materials to russia.

The people with knowledge of the matter said that the sanctions could include a ban on exports from Japan to companies in third countries, including China, as these Chinese companies are suspected of being involved in supplying russia with materials that could be converted for military use.

Earlier, the United States expressed concern about Chinese exports to russia of nitrocellulose, a dual-use material that can be used to make munitions.

After the government finalizes the sanctions program, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will present it to the other G7 countries at the summit in Italy on June 13.
