Lithuanian company fined for purchasing goods from sanctioned russian firms

In Lithuania, customs fined a company 329,944 EUR for purchasing goods from russian companies that were subject to international sanctions.
The Lithuanian-registered company purchased and imported goods from the russian companies Nizhnekamsktekhuglerod and Nizhnekamskneftekhim. It is noted that in accordance with the provisions of the Council of Europe's regulations, these companies are subject to sanctions.
According to the Lithuanian Customs, this is the first time such a measure has been applied.
“Nizhnekamsktekhugler is one of russia's largest carbon black producers. And Nizhnekamskneftekhim is one of the largest enterprises producing synthetic rubbers and plastics. The production is located in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan).
