Over $300 million in Russian assets frozen by Czech Republic

On August 15, ARMA Director Olena Duma met with Czech Ambassador to Ukraine Radek Matula. The Head of the Agency thanked the Czech government for its military and humanitarian assistance, support in ensuring an effective sanctions policy, including the confiscation of Russian assets.
Ambassador Radek Matula reiterated the Czech Republic's support for Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO. The Czech government also continues to monitor Russian sanctioned persons. The result of this work so far has been the freezing of Russian assets to the value of about 300 million dollars.
In addition, the parties have taken the initiative to jointly develop a mechanism for the detection, identification, and management of Russian assets between ARMA and similar bodies in the Czech Republic.
