The losses that Ukraine has suffered as a result of russian aggression have reached about $800 billion.

This figure was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference following his participation in the European Political Community Summit in Budapest.

"Now there are $300 billion of frozen russian assets. They (russians - ed.) have destroyed Ukraine, according to international institutions, for about $800 billion,” he said.

Ukraine now needs these frozen assets to purchase weapons and build housing for people who lost it as a result of the war, Zelensky emphasized.

He noted that the amount of money that russia receives from the use of the shadow fleet is many times greater than the assistance to Ukraine from all allies.

"Today I spoke with partners and gave an example of the shadow fleet of the russian federation, which sails through the waters of the European Union and NATO countries. The Russian shadow fleet earns 11-12 billion dollars a month. Multiply it by 12 months... I ask you to compare this money with the amount of aid Ukraine has received. Again, we are grateful for everything, no reproaches. But only one shadowy fleet of the russian federation, which was not subject to sanctions, has earned more in almost three years of war than all the assistance of the whole world to Ukraine in this war,” the President said.

At the same time, he emphasized the insufficiency of sanctions. In particular, he reminded that not all banks and not all energy resources of russia are subject to restrictions.
