Russian propaganda media were banned in Montenegro

Montenegro joined the European Union sanctions against a series of russian propaganda media.

 

The Government of Montenegro decided to introduce international restrictive measures determined by the decisions of the EU Council regarding russian media, the decision was announced in the Official Gazette of Montenegro at the end of June.

 

Sputnik and its Arabic-language version, a number of RT affiliates speaking European and Arabic languages, RTR/RTR Planeta, Rossiya 24, TV Center International, NTV/NTV Mir, Rossiya 1, REN TV were banned. , "Pervy Kanal", Oriental Review, "Tsargrad", New Eastern Outlook, "Katekhon".

 

This ruling prohibits transmission or distribution by any means such as cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet services, Internet video sharing platforms or applications, whether new or pre-installed.

 

The decision also provides for the suspension of all broadcasting licenses and broadcasting and distribution obligations for sanctioned legal entities, organizations or bodies.

 

It is also prohibited to advertise the products or services of any content produced or broadcast by sanctioned legal entities, entities or bodies by transmission or distribution by any means.
