During a discussion at Ukraine House in Davos at the World Economic Forum, Timothy Ash, an independent strategist at RBC Bluebay Asset Management and a research fellow at the Chatham House in London, said that the exact amount of russian assets frozen in the West has not yet been calculated.
"You know, it's been almost two years since the invasion, and we still don't have exact figures. We think it's between $300 and $400 billion. If you add in the money of the oligarchs, there's 260-270 billion in Belgium, in France, small amounts in the United States, in the United Kingdom," Ash said at Ukraine House on January 17.
