When will the EU present the 19th package of sanctions against Russia?

The European Commission is preparing to present the 19th package of sanctions against Russia on Wednesday, September 17.

It is noted that the new package aims to increase pressure on Russia in response to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The sanctions will target Russia’s “shadow” fleet, the banking system, and impose additional restrictions on the sale of Russian oil.

In addition, the Commission is considering adding certain banks from two Central Asian countries, as well as independent oil refineries in China, to the blacklist in order to further economically isolate Russia.
