The AfD's political programme is set out in an 85-page document to be adopted at the party conference on 11-12 January.
It accuses the European Union of pushing ahead with its transformation into a ‘superpower with a planned economy’ in recent years.
‘We consider it necessary for Germany to leave the European Union and create a new European community,’ it says.
The programme also calls for stricter abortion laws, an end to economic sanctions against Russia, and the re-launch of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
In addition, Alternative for Germany calls for ‘putting an end to the false path of permanent financial aid by reintroducing the national currency’ and withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement.
