Employee of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands found guilty of organizing schemes to circumvent sanctions

The District Court of Rotterdam has convicted an employee of the Dutch Ministry of Defense who, after russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, organized a scheme to circumvent EU sanctions to supply aircraft components to russia.

Together with his accomplices, he set up companies in Serbia and Turkey through which the deliveries were made, also using routes through the UAE and Kyrgyzstan.
