Canada has frozen more than $350 million worth of russian assets since the beginning of the war

“Since February 24, 2022, a total of C$140.1 million in assets have been frozen in Canada and financial transactions worth C$317.4 million have been suspended in accordance with the prohibitions set out in the Special Economic Measures Act against russia,” said the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The police added that they also blocked financial transactions worth $387.2 thousand and froze assets worth $148.5 thousand related to sanctioned persons from Belarus.
