The new rules will continue to prohibit such exports by land, but will allow the transportation of goods by air in accordance with European rules.
At the suggestion of Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budris, the provision on the non-application of restrictions to goods that cannot technically operate in russia was removed.
In addition, exporters will be obliged to include a ban on re-export of goods to russia or other non-EU countries in their contracts with buyers. Violation of the sanctions will result in a trade ban only for the violator, not for all companies.
