The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine initiated a lawsuit to recover the assets of Belaruskali to the state

The Ministry of Justice has filed a lawsuit to impose sanctions on Belaruskali Open Joint Stock Company under paragraph 1-1 of part one of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”. The assets belonging to the sanctioned entity, namely corporate rights, funds, railroad cars, and potash fertilizers, are claimed for recovery to the state's revenue.

“Belaruskali is a leading state-owned potash fertilizer producer in Belarus and one of the largest taxpayers to the budget of the Republic of Belarus, which is fully controlled by the political elite of the Republic of Belarus, including directly by the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

“By its actions, Belaruskali contributes to the war against Ukraine through financial and economic relations with enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the russian federation and the occupation administrations of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR. Belaruskali also provided transportation and accommodation for Ukrainian children taken from the temporarily occupied territories in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, and participated in the organization and financing of activities related to the support of the aggressor state's policy of non-recognition of the right of the Ukrainian people to self-identification.
