Based on the materials of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to impose sanctions on a Russian aluminum company and its owner and to recover assets belonging to them.

The claim calls for the nationalization of over 440,000 tons of bauxite and 110,000 tons of metallurgical alumina worth over ₴2 billion.

The investigation revealed that the ultimate owner of the raw materials is a sanctioned Russian oligarch who owns the world's largest aluminum producer. The aluminum products were supplied to Russian defense companies that directly produce military equipment, weapons and ammunition for the Russian Armed Forces.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings on the fact of financing actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order is carried out by investigators of the SBU Main Investigation Department, with operational support from the SBU Department for the Protection of National Statehood (Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
