New sanctions against russia have appeared in Norwegian legislation

Norway has introduced a new package of sanctions against russia, which came into force on February 19, 2025.

The package largely corresponds to the 15th EU sanctions package against the country with some amendments.

In addition, it introduces provisions from the EU regulatory framework on the use of extraordinary profits from immobilized assets of the russian central bank to support Ukraine.
