Sanctions should remain in place until russian Federation pays for the damage caused

According to the President of Ukraine, sanctions pressure on russia should continue, and current diplomatic efforts for a peaceful settlement should not mean that this pressure should be eased.

“Sanctions must remain in place until russia starts withdrawing its troops from our land and fully compensates for the damage caused by its aggression. I urge you to continue to fight against sanctions evasion schemes and russia's attempts to finance its military efforts,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.

He reminded that moscow often breaks its promises - “at one moment they give a word, and in a few hours it means nothing.”

“That is why we must continue to push russia to peace. Together with you, of course, with the United States and our other partners, we can do this,” Zelenskyy said.
