Trump extends sanctions against russia for a year over invasion of Ukraine

This is stated in the official announcement of the President published in the Federal Register of the United States.

“Pursuant to Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am extending for one year the state of emergency declared by Executive Order 13660,” the document says.

It is noted that the national emergency related to the situation in Ukraine, which includes sanctions imposed in March and December 2014, as well as in September 2018 and February 2022 by decrees of previous US presidents, is extended.
