Hungary secures exemption from 15th EU sanctions package for Patriarch Kirill and Vasily Nebenzi

On December 16, the Council of the European Union approved the 15th package of sanctions against the aggressor country of russia, which included 54 individuals and 30 organizations from russia, China and the DPRK.

The list includes the russian military involved in the attack on the ohmatdyt hospital in Kyiv, the management of energy sector companies, as well as those responsible for deporting children, propaganda and circumventing sanctions.

In particular, the restrictions were imposed on TV presenter and Deputy CEO of Gazprom Media Tina Kandelaki, Head of Struktura Group Nikolai Tupikin, employee of the Presidential Administration Sofia Zakharova, singer and actress Larisa Dolina, Head of Mordovia Artem Zdunov, Head of Avtodor Vyacheslav Petushenko, CEO of Gazprom Fleet, Gazprom LNG Technologies and Gazstroy.

The EU sanctions are primarily aimed at russian defense companies and shipping companies responsible for the transportation of crude oil and oil products by sea, the report said.

Also, for the first time, the EU has imposed full-fledged sanctions (travel ban, asset freeze, ban on providing economic resources) on various Chinese entities that supply moscow with UAV components and microelectronics.
