Zelenskyy enacts NSDC decision on sanctions against those who defected to russia

“We are blocking propagandists working for russia, people who have sided with the enemy, and those who help russia continue the war. We also continue to deprive people of state awards - only those who truly devote their lives to Ukraine deserve the title of Hero of Ukraine. We are also preparing new sanctions decisions. They will be issued soon,” the President said.

The corresponding decree on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of January 19, 2025 “On the application and lifting of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” was published on the president's website.

The sanctions were imposed on 18 people. Among them are Ukrainian citizens Nestor Shufrich, Yevhen Muraiev, Oleh Voloshyn, Petro Symonenko, Yuriy Boyko, russian citizens oligarch Konstantin Grigorishin, composer Ilya Reznik, conductor Yuriy Bashmet, opera singer Vasily Gerello, and choreographer Vadim Pisarev.

All of them, in particular, were deprived of state awards and other forms of recognition, subjected to asset freezes and the prevention of capital outflows from Ukraine, as well as other sanctions.
